GITEX 2002,The Middle East’s Premier IT Exhibition

Ad Astrum Technologies participated in the GITEX 2002 exhibition which was held at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre.

Gitex is the largest and most successful event of its kind in the Middle East. It has firmly established itself as the premier international exhibition for computing, communications systems and applications dedicated to the IT industry and the entire business environment. The show attracted 613 exhibitors representing over 1,500 companies from 33 countries in 2001.

Major representation was seen from North America, Europe, India and the Far East and complemented by national pavilions from the United Kingdom, Canada, Taiwan, Syria, France, Jordan, Korea, Palestine, Lebanon, Egypt, Ireland, Singapore, Germany and Hong Kong. More than 50,000 registered trade visitors from 102 countries attended GITEX 2001.

GITEX 2002 occupied once again the entire Dubai International Exhibition Centre consisting of 8 halls with nearly 37,000sq meters of covered space. Most of the region’s key decision-makers were all there, creating exciting business potential for companies looking to expand their area of operation, as the countries of the Middle East and surrounding region represent an expanding, lucrative market for the IT and Communications industry.
